#WCW: Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success

If you follow us on Instagram (@duncanandrobyn), you know that we love being a partner with Dress for Success as one of the organizations that we match our skincare donations to. For this week’s #WCW, let’s talk more about the fearless leader behind this powerhouse women’s organization: Joi Gordon.

Joi joined the DFS organization in 1999 and took over as CEO in 2002. As she continuously builds her tenure with the org, she has seen it grow to over 160 locations in over 30 countries (source). Her passion, dedication, and willingness to not just show up - but to show up and ask questions - is the fuel that powers Dress for Success’s mission globally.

Falling in through the patterns of previous #wcw’s, Joi’s story is that of hard work and kindness. She started her career as an attorney but after years of work featuring incarceration and hopelessness, she has told many an interview that she saw the opportunity at Dress for Success as that of hope.

Her mission matches ours - that women, no matter what their background or creed, deserve the chance to feel confident and at their best. Joi mans the helm of an organization that provides the clothing pieces for this armor of confidence, we at duncan&robyn provide the helmet. So as we continue on this journey of socially responsible skincare for all, you can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll be turning to Joi’s example of strength and leadership for inspiration.
